Arthur earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario before going on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor. During university, he also participated in a French Immersion program in Trois Pistol, Quebec and has been employed for several national firms over the years.
He is a Chartered Accountant licensed in Ontario, as well as a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) in Alberta and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in Alberta.
Arthur knows that tough things can happen anytime. After losing a kidney to cancer he experienced job loss, financial depletion, and a personal comeback.
Arthur used his experience and expertise to launch A. C. Waring & Associates Inc. in 1994. Now, with over 40 years of experience, Arthur continues to embrace life, share his professional advice on debt solutions and is proud to have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated, capable co-workers over many years.
Stan has over 30 years of experience with both public accounting firms and private industry, making him a valuable asset to our team. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (a position formerly referred to as a Certified Management Accountant) and is licensed in Alberta. He is also federally designated to work as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in Alberta.
Before he joined the A. C. Waring & Associates team, Stan worked as a Vice President of Finance for a mid-sized engineering and inspection company that specialized in providing professional services to several sectors including oil and gas, power generation, pulp and paper, and chemical industries.
Stan also co-authored and presented a paper on creditor enforcement as part of the Lorman Professional Update series, and has given lectures on insolvency to the Edmonton chapter of the Society of Management Accountants, the Edmonton Insurance Underwriter’s Association, and other non-profit groups.
Stan has always believed in the positive power of sports for youth and children, and in the past has served as both a coach and a director for the Strathcona County Minor Football Association and the Sherwood Park Minor Lacrosse Association.
Shanaz has over 40 years of experience in the insolvency field and joined the A. C. Waring & Associates team almost ten years ago.
She has experience working with large and small firms, and throughout her career has assisted thousands of people to make sense of their personal finances.
Shanaz has always found a deep sense of satisfaction helping others, and when she is not working at the office, she spends her time volunteering through her church and with other non-profit organizations. She prides herself on her resourcefulness and her ability to empathize with those who are experiencing personal challenges.
Shanaz greets everyone with a friendly smile and a warm welcome and works hard to make everyone feel welcomed and respected both inside and outside of the workplace.
Beth first started working at A. C. Waring & Associates Inc. as a temporary hire through Diversified Staffing in 2002. A few months later she became a worthy full-time associate of the ACW team. A firm believer in lifelong learning, Beth went on to earn her Management Studies Diploma from Grant MacEwan Community College in 2007, her Insolvency Counsellor’s Qualification in 2011, and her Insolvency Administration Qualification in 2016. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
As part of her work at A. C. Waring & Associates Inc. Beth oversees the processing of all personal income tax returns and enjoys working with people from all walks of life while helping them through difficult times.
Beth currently makes her home in Edmonton with her husband and two children. During her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her large extended family.
